Dr. Raj Patel
Raj Patel M.D., is an Interventional Radiology physician at IR Centers in Wilmington, North Carolina. He is originally from Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Patel received his undergraduate training at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he earned dual degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He then attended the University of South Florida in Tampa for medical school, where he received his MD degree and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
After medical school, Dr. Patel completed a year of surgical training as an intern at Orlando Regional Medical Center. He then trained at Yale New Haven Hospital as an Integrated Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology (IR) Resident. There, he learned clinical management and minimally invasive procedures in various IR related fields, including men’s and women’s health, venous disease, urology, interventional oncology, hepatobiliary/gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal pain, among others. During his final year, he served as Chief Resident for the Yale IR Residency.
Dr. Patel is excited to join IR Centers and provide interventional radiology services to the Wilmington and Southeast North Carolina community.
