

James Hart, MD
Dr. James Hart is a highly experienced interventional radiologist bringing over a decade of clinical leadership and academic contribution to IR Centers. With a strong foundation in both private and academic medicine, Dr. Hart is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through advanced minimally invasive therapies.
Dr. Hart earned his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science after completing his undergraduate studies in Psychology at Grinnell College. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Henry Ford Hospital, where he achieved board certification from the American Board of Radiology, followed by a Vascular and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Most recently, Dr. Hart served as Director of Interventional Radiology Quality and Patient Safety at the University of Colorado Hospital. He has also held roles as Co-Division Head of Interventional Radiology and Radiation Safety Officer within the UCHealth system, reflecting his strong commitment to clinical excellence, safety, and operational leadership. Dr. Hart is widely published, with contributions to peer-reviewed journals, scientific abstracts, and national meeting presentations. His academic interests include embolotherapy for hemorrhoidal and thyroid disease, Y-90 radiation brachytherapy, and image-guided oncology therapies. He remains actively involved in education, delivering regular lectures to radiology residents and multidisciplinary teams.
In addition, Dr. Hart has led initiatives focused on quality improvement, workflow optimization, and vascular imaging protocols. His thoughtful, evidence-based approach aligns seamlessly with IR Centers’ mission to advance outpatient interventional radiology.
