Dr. Millie Liao
Dr. Millie Liao is an interventional radiologist at IR Centers in St. Louis, Missouri. She specializes in diagnostic, interventional, and vascular radiology, caring for patients of all ages across a wide range of arterial, venous, urologic and hepatobiliary conditions.
Dr. Liao earned her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences and completed her internship and residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California. She was previously Assistant Professor in the Division of Interventional Radiology, Department of Radiology, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
Her clinical expertise spans a broad range of minimally invasive image-guided procedures including uterine artery embolization for fibroids, prostate artery embolization for benign prostatic hyperplasia, thrombectomy for deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, recanalization and reconstruction for venous occlusive disease, endovascular intervention for peripheral arterial disease, and ablation, chemoembolization, and radioembolization for liver and kidney tumors. She also performs biliary intervention, embolization for bleeding, and image-guided biopsy and drainage procedures.
Dr. Liao's approach centers on working directly with each patient to identify the minimally invasive option that offers the best outcome alongside a comfortable experience and a shorter recovery. That emphasis on patient selection and shared decision-making shapes how she practices.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Liao is committed to education and the training of the next generation of interventional radiologists and being involved as a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Liao brings a strong commitment to innovation, collaboration, and patient-centered care, aligning closely with IR Centers' mission of expanding access to advanced outpatient interventional radiology services across the United States.
