Bringing a decade of international and US experience in Interventional Radiology including service line creation and management, Dr. Sag joins Hemorrhoid Centers Miami from Duke University where he held joint faculty appointments in Interventional Radiology and Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an established public speaker on minimally-invasive healthcare and service line strategy.

At Duke, he launched and directed three high-volume nationally recognized service lines, expanding several treatments not otherwise available to patients in the state of North Carolina: 

(1) Orthopaedic Interventional Oncology service, developed in collaboration with valuable partners from Duke Orthopaedic Surgery and Duke Neurosurgery, including tumor embolization and complex ablation, spine and pelvis cementoplasty, and collaborative percutaneous osteosynthesis.

(2) Interventional Radiology Pain Management service, developed in collaboration with key partners at Duke Palliative Care and Duke Sports Medicine, including nerve blocks, complex nerve ablation, and regional anesthesia techniques, ultimately being selected as the first Interventional Radiologist on the NCCN Adult Cancer Pain Guidelines panel in late 2023.

(3) Duke Thyroid RFA and Embolization Clinic, founded in collaboration with outstanding partners in Duke Endocrinology and Duke Endocrine Surgery, providing minimally invasive options for symptomatic enlarged thyroid glands.

Dr. Sag joins IR Centers to continue his passion to bring the benefits of minimally invasive therapies to patients of Miami.
