Arun Chockalingam, M.D.

Dr. Arun Chockalingam is a highly accomplished interventional radiologist bringing a unique combination of clinical excellence, academic achievement, and innovation to IR Centers. With a strong foundation in biomedical engineering and an advanced focus in interventional radiology, Dr. Chockalingam is dedicated to delivering minimally invasive therapies that optimize patient outcomes and quality of life.

Dr. Chockalingam earned his medical degree with Distinction in Research from Albany Medical College after completing his undergraduate studies in Biomedical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating magna cum laude.

He completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mount Auburn Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where he was selected for Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) and served as a Clinical Fellow, contributing to medical student education and quality improvement initiatives. He completed his Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Chockalingam is widely published in peer-reviewed journals, has presented at international conferences, and has authored multiple book chapters. His academic contributions span topics such as catheter-directed therapies, tumor ablation, pulmonary embolism, and AI in interventional radiology. His work has been recognized with national awards from the Society of Interventional Radiology, RSNA, and ACR.

In addition to his clinical and academic accomplishments, Dr. Chockalingam has led innovation initiatives, including the development of workflow tools and decision support systems in IR. His passion for technology and education aligns with IR Centers' mission to lead the future of outpatient interventional care.
