Image-guided placement of a drainage catheter into the kidney's collecting system to relieve urinary obstruction and restore proper kidney function.

Overview

Image-guided placement of a drainage catheter into the kidney's collecting system to relieve urinary obstruction and restore proper kidney function.

What to Expect

The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under image guidance. Most patients go home the same day and resume light activity within a day or two, rather than the weeks typical after open surgery.

Is It Right for You?

Suitability depends on your imaging, symptoms, and medical history. Our interventional radiologists review each case with your referring physician before recommending treatment.
